your right custom skis are no better than production skis if you can find a pair you like, which most of the time you can because there are so many brands out there.
The biggest difference is you can get the exact flex and shape and graphics if you're into that. I'm not the greatest at making kiteboards, but something about custom things that some people will pay a little bit more for, Lot of people just want things different even if its not the best.

Pleased to see Wagner going well ! I bought a pair of these about 1 yr ago and have been delighted. The wood cores give you a reliable and predictable ride plus custom top sheet look sweet in the powder ! Not cheap but worth spending if you want the ultimate ride - Jamie
