“On Feb. 24, 1944, a unit of the German Secret Field Police passes by Huta Pieniacka; the populace, believing they were facing a Ukrainian unit, opened fire. As a result, 6 to 8 Germans were killed. On February 27, a punitive squad of the Secret Field Police entered Huta Pieniacka, completely destroying the village; approximately 500 residents were killed.” (AAN. — Ministerstwo Spraw Wewn., Wydzia Sprawozdanie sytuacyjne Nr. 15/1944. — S. 24.)

After 67 years of Bolshevik propaganda, competing stories and theories are all that there will ever be about this massacre.

The Polish Armia Krajowa's massacres of Ukrainian villages will be also disputed.

Soon all this will be material for footnotes in esoteric history texts and boring debates at obscure historical conferences.

@Bosirant the first soldiers killed SS Galicia were killed near the village of Ukrainians and Roman Bobak Oleksa Andrijczuk what is written in the chronicle of the division.

Apparently the German POLICE SS Schutzpolizei were responsible for ordering and executing the actual Huta Pieniacka massacre. Even the Polish survivors mention that German "of a Silesian dialect" was spoken by the perpetrators. This is also the testimony of Jewish survivors.

Apparently, the Red Partisans and Armia Krajowa, (which were also massacring Ukrainian villages) provoked this massacre by attacking a unit of the German Secret Field Police a few days earlier.
