  • Those studies are incredibly flawed and no scientific basis can be based off them. One of the key nutrients to proper thyroid utilization and was shown in another China study to be DEFICIENT in many soils in China was Selenium. Adding iodine while also having selenium deficiency is a recipe for disaster and is very common these days. TPO antibodies were reduced considerably with good selenium supplementation.

This is the problem with science today. Focusing only on one nutrient without cofactor

  • Thank you for this video! I have hypothyroidism & had many of the symptoms you described- fatigue, sensitivity to cold, weight gain etc. And I am not even iodine deficient. I eliminated food goitrogens (cruciferous veggies, pears, strawberries & millet) and am working to reduce environmental goitrogens (pesticides, chem cleaners, chem laden meat, etc) which is much harder, and am working hard to reduce stress. Organic costs more, and is so worth it. "Pay the farmer or pay the hospital".
