I'm going to go against the majority and say this is not a true cheat gainer. Slant gainer, yes, but a slant gainer is different from a cheat gainer. The way I got my cheat gainer was by pretending I was too afraid to gainer (since I had normals already) and just turning and side flipping. The turn before the flip is also what makes the cheat gainer a prerequisite for a corkscrew.

Look up some tutorials and take note of how the flip itself resembles a sideflip. It may help you. Good luck! :)

@abarusso But that's like saying a cheat 900 is a cheat set up followed by a 900 degree spin. Cheat gainer is just a name for it, you can call it slant gainer but I don't think anyone else cares about which one is right.

@DrahcirPohsib Assuming it actually exists, it'll cause some terminology problems though, cause it should be a gainer from a cheat setup, (which would pretty much result as a raiz) and that is not what you actually mean. That's why cheat gainer is "commonly understood" but is not a proper name thus : Slant gainer.

@abarusso I never said this was a kick the moon... I was talking from a non-pedantic fuck point of view. That is generally thought of as a cheat gainer, and to say that that doesn't exist in tricking terminology is ridiculous because surely what is tricking terminology is defined by trickers themselves and seeing as there are plenty of trickers who call it a cheat gainer then yes it does exist.

First, cheat gainer doesn't exist in tricking terminology. Second, I'd say this is a regular gainer (a little slanted one) since you usually land a "REAL" slant gainer on one leg. Finally, this is NEVER a ktm (aka moonkick) because you should land on one leg, twist your body and throw a hook kick.

Yeh cheat gainer. kick the moon you do exactly what you do but land with your kicking leg first.
