Clearly many of you are not aware this introduction is NO LONGER PLAYED. Yes it is old and yes the graphics are so University of Oklahoma by today's standards. But just like Texas has the sleekest PSAs out there (no cameos by the university president praising the student body or cheesy screen shots of the campus), it too, has the best football introduction.

this is stupid. maybe its the graphics, which seem out of date vs current. but the star trek sounds with the bolts of lightning . . . weak. texas should rework this.

The fact is that at 0:38 in the video, the statues of Ricky Williams and Earl Campbell transform the longhorns into minotaurs. It doesn't matter what kind of cows they are (and longhorns are just cows at the end of the day); if it has a bovine head on a humanoid body, it's a minotaur. End of story.
I'd worry less about Tim Tebow and more about winning out in the Big XII. Texas usually finds a way to choke it away. Hell, Ron Prince's KSU teams beat you guys twice, and they were terrible.

you did alot to explain why in the world there would be minotaurs in a texas intro scene, maybe for the reason they arent minotaurs? Those arent minotaurs and im not an idiot i know what a minotaur is. Its not a minotaur, and you comment made no sense. you were talking about what a minotaur is. That is a longhorns not a minotaur we moved on from 3rd grade. KNOW YOUR FACTS!!!!!!!!

Clearly you didn't attend the fine university you claim to support. If you had, you might already know that the minotaur was a mythological creature with the head of a bull and the body of the human. You know, the same behorned critters that appear at the end of the video.
UT has the best football money can buy, I won't argue that.
