Zdes khorosho (How fair this spot!)

English translation:

"How fair this spot!. I gaze at the golden brook running by, the fields inlaid with flowers, the white clouds sailing on high. No step draws near...alone with God, I seem. With Him among the pine trees and thee, my only dream."

Bles Chavez-Bernstein, Filipino-American soprano, sings Rachmaninoff's Zdes khorosho at the Thailand Cultural Center.

Inspiration, an Evening of Dreams and Desires, is an event produced and organized by Artist Society which included a vernissage featuring Russel Fadavi's paintings followed by a solo performance showcasing a broad range of repertoire including classical music, arias by Puccini and Menotti, songs by Faure and Rachmaninoff, Broadway musicals, folk songs and some popular crossovers.
