Lori Andrews, law professor and director of the Institute for Science, Law and Technology at the Illinois Institute of Technology, contends that personal privacy rights are being eroded by online social networks. The author examines the ways that users are surveyed by a host of parties that range from employers to data services and how personal information is often collected and sold.

Ms. Andrews also presents a "Social Network Constitution" that she argues is needed to protect privacy rights online. Lori Andrews speaks with Jennifer Preston, staff writer at the New York Times and Kashmir Hill, staff writer at Forbes at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
