  • So how much did all of that run you? Did you get a PCIII and high flow exhaust as well? Dyno time to set it all up?

  • I think the pipe was around $650. I did the labor myself. I have a se reace tuner, which i would not recommend getting. The download runs $150, dyno time just depends on what your local shop charges and if they guy can tune in very quickly.

  • do you have the heatshields on in this vid? I'm thinkin of buying one without the heatshields.

  • yeah there are heat shields on the bike. I would say they are not worth messin with. Maybe if you were really worried, just buy the top two.

  • whats that exhaust who makes it how much

  • it's a thunderheader. depending on finish and heat shieds, it runs around $650.

  • I understand that you can't get any better performance then from this thunderheader, but it's just sooo freakin ugly.

  • heavy!!!!!

  • Awesome bike and exhaust u got there. i am planning on upgrading to THeader with my eyes closed. but i have a question. Do you need to buy a heat shield on those black exhausts

  • Thunderheaders consistently make the most horsepower and torque, as proven by dyno's. Get the TH you will not be let down every one of my Harleys have had Thunderheaders and they always perfrom great.

  • If anyone is going to do any upgrades on a Harley forget the useless Harley download or their overpriced SE race Tuner. Go with either a Thunder Max EFI or Daytone Twin-Tec ECU, they both automatically adjust for any preformance mod you will do without ever needing any downloads, adjustments or dyno time. They basically work like you cars ECU and adjust in real time. They are a little expensive but if anyone is going to incrementally do motor work they are really a cheap alternative

  • Would you recommend the PCIII instead?

  • i actually went for the Vance and Hines short shots any way! thanks for the response though, i appretiate it. ride safe brother!!

  • I think just get a drill and a really long 1/2 drill bit. Put the bit into the pipe (off the bike) from the outlet until it hits metal, drill until you break through. But don't quote me on that and you're responsible for the outcome or any damage, not me. As for having the engine tuned... you don't tune the engine in this case, you retune the EFI. Any modification to airflow should coincide with a tune, but in this case I just don't think it'll be necessary unless you are at a high altitude.
