These things are coffins on wheels. I could care less about saving on a gallon of gas. I'm not putting my family in a shit box little car like this just to have them killed in a accident that would have been survivable in any steel framed car or truck. @tpaladino i have a 2010 prius and i have achieved 60 mpg. you have do drive it a certain way and utilize the different driving modes. If i leave it in default and drive it like a non hybrid, i still get about 48 mpg. I love my prius and i don't give a shit what anyone thinks.

@cms81586 You are a fool. This is one of the safer cars on the road today. There are plenty of big, bad pickups that perform MUCH worse in these tests, '97-'03 F150, for example.

You know, I'm sorry and i don;t want to get hated on for sticking up for the Prius, but I was a Autobeyour's garage in Indiana and what they do is fix salvaged Prius', and Prius' only. I seen a Prius' shell, I seen one that flipped 7 times! No one was hurt! I even have the airbag's that he took out of it as a souvenir! LOL No lie. Even the side curtain one. All I can say is, the Prius is an over-engineered car. It's got the right type of steel in the places it needs to be to make it safe.

lol, Recalls happen all the time, I do not own a prius. This vehicles does very well in EuroNcap, IIHS, and NHTSA crash tests. This video is kinda pointless without telling the speeds of these collisions. They look bad but they're all shot in highspeed so to be fair they could be at basically any speed. Would I still buy a Prius? no. Because I am a guy.
