  • Is it true that during landing Fokker controls throttle thru autothrottle system and it automatically brings it down while flare? Or do pilots disconnect autothrottle to control the engines manually during landing?

  • @Chuckee737 I don't know much about the technical details, but both pilots was busy with the knobs and levers during landing. Seemed pretty manual to me...

  • @Chuckee737 The autothrottle system of the Fokker 70/100 aircraft is capable of reducing the throttle to idle when the a/c is reaching the runway.

  • @rup1u5 Thx for fast reply! :) Well that was a reason why I asked, indeed. They were busy with the knobs. At 00:02 you can hear autopilot disengage warning (quite airbus-style:), but I don´t know how it is with autothrottle on Fokker. I mean if it is like B737 - you just switch throttle command to "arm" mode by turning off speed hold mode on main control panel - and the system is armed for use in case of go around - or it is completely different. But nevermind, I´m going to visit uncle Google ;)

  • @arjennovic

yes. Budapest is my hometown. :)

  • @rup1u5 So you are from Budapest? I've been there a few weeks ago, to the Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix, was awesome :P Everyday with the metro from Hatar ut to Arpad hid, then the bus to Mogyorod. Wait, why am I talking about this in a aviation video? Ehm... I'm a big fan of both aviation and racing (Formula 1)

  • @arjennovic

    xD

    "Kérem vigyázzanak, az ajtók záródnak!"

  • @rup1u5 Kaszna dazolok, varuk zaruknak, zikkalokbalokbabik. That's what the women says in the metro in Budapest.

  • @rup1u5 Woh..Don't insult...Bob is The Man! That is hard work. He has no time for geography. I'm his manager, Steve is The Shit. Have some respect or we will send our friend George is The Crap!

    Thanks...
