Big Brown (Obama) won it and ill-fated Eight Belles (Hillary) ran her heart out to place 2nd forming two thirds of my Trifecta pick. Only ole Colonel John (Capt. John McCain) was too slow and tired to show up. This surrogates result looks a lot like the presidential elections. Indeed, CNN ran the Ky Derby results immediately following the news that Obama defeated Hillary in Guam by just 7 lengths..er, I mean votes. Do you think these surrogate results will hold up in the presidential election?

  • After talking to my mom about it. I'd like to note that she said that Denis of Cork isn't (MCCAIN), but (JEREMIAH WRIGHT). Denis of Cork was named after an Irish MINISTER in Cork County, who was friends with the horses' owner. Plus, Jeremiah Wright isn't in the political race per se, but his presence is a MAJOR factor in it. The media, and (Wright) won't let the issue die out.

  • Cool, I wish everybody got to observing and thinking about the obvious signs of the times all around us. Check out my February Forecast or Super Bowl XLII pick.

  • Big Brown (Obama) 1st, the favorite won from way back early in the race to win by a wide margin. The favorite won from the 20th post (WAY OUTSIDE.) Normally you want to be in the middle.

Eight Belles (2nd) The filly was endorsed by Hillary Clinton, and Chelsea was at the race. You saw how that ended up. The horse broke her FRONT ankles.

Denis of Cork (McCain) Not expected to do well, plus the horse was named after an Irish minister. McCain has Irish ancestry.

  • Colonel John is a better connection to Capt. John McCain for several reasons. Denis of Cork reminds me more of Dennis "of Quirk" Kucinich BYW, Eight Belles was from the Fox Hill stable and Hillary was on Fox for the first time this week.

  • Could this also be why secret societies use the number 33 in their symbolism? Like 33rd degree masons?

  • The #333 points to The Divine Trinity or Royal Family. In the case of human royalty, these families are called houses. The #33 can also shine a light on blessings or a curses. The fallen angel Lucifer led 33.3% of the angels in rebellion, while Jesus completed his work of salvation at age 33. Christ is the Royal Priest and his followers are called a Royal Priesthood. Proverbs 3:33-The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.

  • The #33 is the number of a Spiritual Master and or King. Luke cites 33 generations from Adam to King David.

  • Harland Sanders was not a colonel, nor a horseman and, of course, not from Kentucky. He was an cook from Indiana, not to be confused with the kook who posted the original comment.
