  • Take da second exit to Escanaba, der, eh?

  • The bridge used to be part of US 27 if you run south from the bridge I-75 splits off to Detroit and 27 or 127 goes straight south through Lansing

  • The bridge opened Nov. 1st, 1957.

  • The bridge sure made a difference crossing the straits, especially during deer hunting season! I remember a 9-hour wait for an available ferry. I've heard of much longer ones than that.

  • I wonder what the bridge toll was back then? :)

  • This was before I-75 came through, I think this was then US31. Ends at US2 just across the bridge. I-75 came through I think in 1963

  • The grating was brown in the early years!

  • The good old days. How far we have fallen.

  • Hey, hey! Tell that '58 chevy to slow it down!

  • Interesting video thanks for posting.
