Originally this song was by John Henry Kurtz(1972). Dobie Grays Cover is incredible though and is the most popular version of th song.

ive seen uncle kracker 3 times and they have been at kenny chesney concert, uncle kracker is amazing but i love kenny chesney and rascal flatts all amazing seen them all in concert

yes john henry sang the song first in 72 but it was writen by mentor williams in 72 and sung the best by dobie gray in 73 period imo...

No, John Henry Kurtz was the original artist. Dobie Gray only did a cover, Dobie's version is just the most well known.
