Mass Effect 1 Final Boss Insane Difficulty Xbox 360 Version

Okay! Here is the strategy for finishing Mass Effect 1 on Insane Difficulty on the Xbox 360 version. With the release of Mass Effect 2, and that these awesome games build upon one another, I feel that a lot of people will want to play ME1 before 2 rather than take the stock universe you are given if you dont At any rate Enjoy the cinematic at the start using the benefits of a 100% paragon / charm Talking a final boss into suicide PRICELESS!!!

Before we get into the nitty gritty theres one thing of note, worth um noting As the achievement reads, beat the game on the hardest difficulty setting without changing it. This is almost true. Heres what you do. Play through the game on an easier level once or even twice to get your characters level and equipment pretty high. For me, I STARTED my insane run with everything you see here at the end. I was at Level 60 with maxed Charm and other stats as listed. I had maxed out the three assault rifles I would be using Its up to you, but you should talk Saren into shooting himself to avoid a tough battle as I did Okay back to the note. Once you start a new game using the completed game data The second you get control of Shepard, bring up the pause menu and change the difficulty to Insane and NEVER change it again. Before you fire a shot or biotic. It worked for me!

Alright, once the battle starts, I pause to show you all stats and weapons used (consequently team members and yes Ash is dead). The important Biotics for Shepard are Stasis, Barrier, and Warp Kaidens Lift and Throw are where its at! Wrex is there because of his insane amount of life and armor Okay. When the battle starts, you will be hit by the overheat ray. Ive never been able to avoid it. So your weapons and biotics are in cool down. Immediately get a bead on where Saren is and begin strafing once your assault rifile is about half cool, begin the rain of fire :) . Put up a barrier and continue to move! Okay. By now Kaiden is cool and will probably show his genius! He can hit Saren with Lift sending him straight up as a rag doll leaving him completely open to attack! Thats how you hurt him Thats how you win! Now its not a 100% every time it works thing as you see. I throw in a warp (or a singularity on accident) every now and then just to plain hurt Saren. Theres another key to this and thats upgrading the Assault Rifles. As you can see, with the Scram Rail + Heat Absorption combo working, I increased the damage and made it such that its really hard to over heat. You can keep a steady stream on Saren while strafing (wow, a lot of Ss there). Thats good!!! That pretty much took care of the first form.

Movie deleted to make sure this fit into upload guidelines Okay, now that Sovereign is in charge, the attacks have gotten more brutal, but are much the same. Theres one small change to my attack here and thats the use of Stasis. Stasis is interesting in that it will immobilize Sovereign. However, while allowing you to regroup and cool down, he seems to be immune to damage wile stuck. Use it anyway if your team gets low on health or your Barriers all fail. I begin by freezing him. Now its a matter of strafing, Lifting by Kaiden, shooting, Stasis-ing to regroup and just outlasting him. As you see, its manageable. Just stay calm and do NOT get hit by the red blaster (not the over heat beam but the other one). Thats bad

At the very end, I couldnt help it. I froze him for an up close kill shot. Enjoy that hard earned achievement!

@Jdog5785 You just have to know what you are doing... As you level your character, do charm all the way first... This lets you save Wrex... As far as killing Ash to have Kaiden... it's just a choice at the battle at the facility where you talk to the reaper...

@swordbladez Do you think I should play Mass Effect again or just keep going with MAss Effect 2? With Mass Effect 3 coming out in March of next year. I probably should start a new career and try to get the choices I really want.

@Jdog5785 It's best to start a Mass Effect 1 game from scratch doing what you want team wise and decision wise... Carry that over to Mass Effect 2 make the same type of decisions there (I would go for the No One Left Behind and Paragon Ending ) and carry that master data over to start ME3. If ME2 was any indicator, those decisions will have a massive inpact on your game to come... Hope that helps :)

@swordbladez Sort of. I kept the same character but played it again. Things were alot easier that I already aquired some of the good gear. Sovereign was still a pain in the end and I decided to save the Council this time. I am going with the it is not that we wanted to help you but, the Geth ships were simply in our way.
