awesome sun conure... i love the way you keep him more like a real pet instead of a bird in a cage :D i have a scarlet macaw~ a triton cockatoo~ a illiger's macaw ~ a green cheeck and a sun conure... keep up the good work

@supergirl5655 my conure isnt fligh trained but can fly. i take her outside anyhow. birds are very social. she doesnt want to leave me anyhow. she has gotten spooked b4 and flown off only to land close by and freezes till i go collect her. yes its a risk i take but she loves me. first and utmost, your bird needs to be bonded to you. if it wants to be with you, you risk less. but the risk is always there. but whats life without risk...life in a box

HOW DID YOU TAME LEO?!
-
you have an amazing bird. how do you have it so the bird doesnt fly away from you?
Why doesnt Leo ever fly away??? That confuses me

@SuperMansDumbBrother You mean why, when he flies away, does he come back? Because he's good at flying and we're his family.
The key raising him young, and training him while young - his wings were never clipped. Read about "free flight training" on Google, it's cool stuff. :)

Hey im thinking of geting a Sun Conure. I live in Florida and go camping about every month. do you think i would have any problems with this? and id love to name my Sun Conure Leo in your birds honor if thats ok with you. Please get in contact with me over Youtube :) I would love to talk to you and learn how to train my future friend as well as yours

@ccbuddy172 Sounds great - we bought Leo in Florida. You'll probably have a very nice bird if you are outdoors regularly with him. Just remember - free-flight training is near-impossible unless you get a REALLY young bird. Leo was just a couple weeks old! Leo is a great name for a Sun Conure - his full name was Dr. Leo Marvin... you might want to look that up :)
