'All The Things You Are' - Jazz piano tutorial. This is a second version I have done of this great song. The other re-harmonised earlier version is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEZgh36RZzI This was a midi file I did nearly 20 years ago! It has been one of the most popular midi files that I have done, with it appearing on dozens of midi sites! I thought that it would be worth upgrading to a video tutorial - and here I have added a bass and drums backing generated in PGMusic's Real Tracks add-on to their 'Band in a Box' program.
This is the first video I have tried in full1080p HD - but I mucked up along the way, and there are a few missing notes on the keyboard view.

  • what software are you using?

  • Pianistic brilliance. Love it.

  • What is the name of the software you use for creating these wonderful piano tutorials?

  • @CYisThelonius it sounds like Charlie Parker's version to me.

jazz2511, any chance you have sheet music for this?

  • that poor D note, what did it do to deserve to get stabbed? Hehe, great job!

  • These chords are simplified? that C7 going from the B to A should be a C+?

  • Love your mellow sound. All on the same page musically. Love it when it all comes together like this.

  • This is excellent, the yellow annonations are fantastic but the pink text at the bottom is really annoying and distracting (I'm half expecting you to mention your sister was bitten by an Elk) - that should stuff be in the text description.

  • This stuff is gold! im putting together an arrangement for a guitar audition for a jazz course in Australia and am having a ball checking this stuff out after my teacher told me to check out some piano players! this and the reharm you did are solid and im thinking about playing the reharmonization as a chord solo intro!
