I think what bothered me most, is that she referred to his wife by name, as if she KNEW her, then asked "you're still in love?...How"?....This, is TRUELY PAINFUL.

She's really not. There are jillions of cases of her doing really repugnant stuff on TV out of self-involved ignorance. If this was an isolated incident I'd agree with you, it's really not a big deal, but it's a bigger deal because of her past pattern of behavior. It's like if you or I have a single beer it's not a big deal, but if a recovering alcoholic has one there's more significance. Kathy Lee is actually a pretty horrible person, perky on-air smile notwithstanding.
