  • The Chines are an absolute joy to watch. They've got artistry, beautiful lines, dancing, charisma, and the difficulty. They completely deserved to win.

  • I'll second that, but now you know how everybody felt during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics when the Americans were on. Small, minor difference, though in Beijing: the Chinese crowd were actually able to enjoy the foreigners' performances. I know I'm gonna get a zillion thumbs down for this, but - sadly - it's the truth.

  • @FlicTuckFull Chinese gymnast nowadays are not as good as they were in 2008, the Russians on the otherhand, will battle the USA for gold in London with China taking a third.

  • @138cll They often get foreign choreographers actually.

  • @138cll There's nothing sheese about Adriana Pop's work. In contrast, the americans' are horrible!

  • I know this will garner lots of thumbs down, but I can;t stand the dorky Chinese floor routines with the goob music. I hate their dance. Not their fault, since the government choreographed them and chose the music, but so super cheesy

  • 4:14 - I wonder what Shawn tells Alicia and then Nastia...

  • wow can't wait to see Shawn back :)

  • @haleusca

Yeah, the Chinese audience definitely showed more class in '08 than the Americans did in '96.

    I'm not surprised, though.

  • @bigsleep32 It has been confirmed that they were all of age and therefore eligible to compete. They did not cheat, and as a team, they performed better than all of the other teams. Fair and square.

  • @lepi4san Well I wouldn't say significant...one foot out is only a tenth but I get what you're saying
