Hamilton Crime Stoppers purse snatching

At 9:39 am on Thursday March 25, 2010 the elderly female victim was walking westbound on Main Street East to the medical centre located at 700 Main Street East in the City of Hamilton. As seen on the surveillance video, the male suspect watched the female as she entered the building. As the female victim is walking up the stairs, the suspect grabbed for her purse robbing the female.


The purse, minus the cash, was located the following day outside of a second floor apartment at 120 Sherman Avenue South, this building is currently under renovation.


The victim described the suspect at male, teens to early 20's, slim build 5'5 - 5'7. The video shows that the male had a dark grey / black hooded shirt with white stripes around the wrist bands. The two breast pockets of the hooded sweatshirt have two buttons on them and are of a different material than the rest of the jacket. The suspect's running shoes are white with red accents from the arch to the heel.
