In a video from MEMRI (The Middle East Media Research Institure) Lebanese Journalist Hassan Hamadah calls the Obama's future White House Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel an officer for the Israeli Mossad. @shadowfax1903 Also i corrected my message ,Tanzimat gave all people same rights but still barbaric punishments stayed the same ,and could only be executed by law enforcement .Sharia laws had its place in Ottoman jurisprudence ,they just adopted partial laws from the western world ,and with the coming of Ataturk ,Turks adopted democracy ,barbaric Sharia is part of Islam and no body can deny that i dont know why are you even trying.

@shadowfax1903 Also you mixed up something when you said that moral laws we have is from ottomans ,The Ottomans had associated a loss of military power vis-a-vis Europe with internal disorder and had believed that the empire could strengthen itself by adopting some Western institutions. In place of the sharia, Ottoman authorities had constructed a legal system known as the Tanzimat. The Islamic scholars who had been a part of the sharia had quietly accepted their fall.
