Anything above 7.0 on the ph scale is alkaline .. everything under is acidic .

Don't forget Mount Redoubt that erupted in Alaska in 2009 and spewed vast amounts of sulphur dioxide(SO2) and CO2 high up into the atmosphere.

SO2 reacts with water vapor to make acid rain.

i noticed chemtrails over the town i live in recently, everyone in the town is sick, i've been ill since jan 1st this year, so is everyone else in the town, this is scary,its out of our hands but i beleive this is the reason everyone is sick. look for news reports about cancer increases in the population of county cork ireland - something needs to be done about this. any one got any ideas?

This is DIS INFO!!!!! One the meter has to be submerged in liquid to get an accurate reading. Two that Ice Cold snow will fluctuate the meters ability greatly... Don't be so quick to believe Amateurs ....!

@MartinHDJ Suppose it could depend on location though, here the soil is naturally acidic. The rain and snow is slowly turning it alkali, foliage is dying and trees and shrubs are covered in lichens. Oak trees, conkers, elms, crab apple trees, all suffering.

Last year my mate's pear tree didn't flower...

Acid snow is normal... I tested the snow here and it ranged between 7.2 and 7.6

Very worrying.
