  • This is most definitely Janis Joplin. The song was recorded in 1965 with Dick Oxtot Jazz Band. Ya'll might know this if you had The Very Best of Janis Joplin or the compilation entitled Janis.

  • @Didgeridoozie Thank You! I thought I posted that in an old comment, but thanks for confirming Facts!

  • That's definitely NOT Janis Joplin singing.

  • @leslieoscar Yes it is... The song was recorded in 1965 with Dick Oxtot Jazz Band. Didgeridoozie explains it all

  • Wow, that second last picture is great, I had no idea Janis met Warhol.

  • I am 100% positive this is not Janis Joplin, you can completely discount whatever you read with Dick Oxtot Jazz Band. I finished writing a thesis on Janis Joplin and the female influence in music and how it transformed the songwriting and composItion of men in music. This is a woman named Liliian Claire Augher.

  • @nat00ben06 there is no way this is JJ singing, no way

  • its not janis... its axl rose when he was 13..

  • @Miapink12 Yes, you are right, it is most definitely Janis. I got this on vinyl when I was 13 and listened to it A LOT.

She was a pretty gifted mimic, if you listen to Rose Maddox, or Odetta, you can recognize quite a few inflections that were very present in her early recordings in Texas, and still evident later on.

  • @leslieoscar It definitely IS Janis...!

  • @47docrock >> Are you telling me 'I have a ghost track"?? that came from my 1975 compilation of Janis joplin ?? lol Okay glad my video has you all commenting..We can only guess what Bob Was smoking ,Bob Neuwirth was involved with Edie, so was Dylan of course he won't admit because then he's had been cheating on his wifey at the time
