A comparison of the difference in load times for the PSP game "Spectral Souls" between the ISO, CSO and UMD versions on both the old (fat) and new (slim & lite) PSP models.

Apologies for the bad video quality and slightly off timing.

  • It's settled, I need to get a PSP Slim then.

  • Wow UMD sucks bigtime :D

  • I'lll use iso when I finally get a bigger ms

  • ISO is the image file that is on the UMD. It is one file that contains the entire game. They can be run off memory cards but you have to have a hacked PSP.

  • .iso is an image file. PSP games are usually in this form, an image of the UMD.

.cso is simply short for "compressed .iso".

  • too bad you don't say what CSO compression level you are using, I think the real comparison here should be ISO vs CSO1 vs CSO5 vs CSO9

  • in short iso rockz

  • lmfao psp fat umd will take forever

  • download game for psp theres another form as "cso" idk wat their difference but apparently cso is usually more less memory

  • Remind me what ISO is again?
