Well, the edge can play a lot of notes, but they also have synthesisers and keyboards that can play a lot of the studio stuff they can't play live. It's a song about addiction as you all may know.

Oh, I think you don't need so many songs... Only a singer which can't sing them anymore because he doesn't have the range (anyway) or the power (lost 20 years ago) to sing them.
