This shiny Torkoal was caught on May 21, 2008. At chain 40, Stark Mountain irruption zone. It showed up after __ super repels.

I caught a total of 5 shiny Torkoal that day. The chain broke at 51.

  • are torkoals rare

  • Yeah, kinda. It's a poke radar only pokemon with a 12% encounter rate.

  • how can chaining be so easy for you?

  • I just try to follow the basic rules of chaining as much as possible, but chaining can still be very challenging for me, especially when chaining 1-10% encounter rate pokemon.

  • i do it too!!! but i am only 13 years old and i have to go to school!!! so i do not chain every day!!!still when i do it is very difficult for me cos it breaks even when i do something correct!!! but at least i have done a big chain of 94!!! (larvitar)

  • Sorry to hear that, but keep at it and you'll get bigger chains. Yeah, chains can still randomly break even though we followed all the rules, that's just how the game is. It still happens to me. Congrats on 94 larvitars. Good luck on all your chains.

  • Congrats =]

Just asking, do you shiny hunt on any other games?

  • i once caugth a shiny torkoal at a chain of 7

  • @TheTotalmetalmusic rng: random number generator, it determines everything in the pokemon games, its been broken(as in figured out) to where you can hit a certain time(and frame, though i wont explain what frames are) in game and get a certain spread/shininess, also a while after this post i found out its pretty much impossible to rng abuse during chains without a emulator :( but theres still always egg iv rng abuse which lets us have any spread on a pokemon that can be bred :)

  • @thepokefan92 rng?

  • ive only seen one shiny,my shiny torkoal in emerald, and i ran out of pokeballs!!!i was soo sad!

  • i chained camerupt in that same place, i should of done numel, it was quite fun, but since i learned how to rng wild pokemon i have no need to chain although i still want to learn how to rng abuse chained pokemon so i can have flawless chained shinies ^^

  • @Z33 i dont really chain that much cause i only get like 10+ or 10- :(

  • i just got a shiny torkoal today!

  • @mattibites Same here.
