Souths were sitting in last position and had not won a match since Round 3, as a result coach Paul Langmack was sacked and replaced by caretaker coach Arthur Kitinas. This was Kitinas' first match in charge of the team. Would a change of coach bring the desired result ? After 15 minutes it looked unlikely as the Storm raced to a 16-0 lead and it looked like being another big loss for Souths. The Souths comeback started at the 27 min mark, but could they go on to win the match?
