Skillet - Awake And Alive Tour Intro

***On February 14, 2011 Ben Kasica departed Skillet after 10 good years of rocking my face off! One of the greatest guitar players in rock music...period!***

Skillet concert #4 for me! I live in rural Oregon and the band doesn't come out here enough so it's not my fault!

BTW my first Skillet concert was October 1999 at a VERY small church in Ashland, Oregon. The church stage was just big enough for the band! I should add that they had no stage lights for that performance and they arrived in a van. For those of you who don't know in 1999 Skillet was John & Korey Cooper, Ken Steorts on guitar and Trey McClurkin on drums. Yep.....I am one of those old time panheads :P

ANYWAY....here is John Cooper, Korey Cooper, Ben Kasica and Jen Ledger performing live at the Oregon State Fairgrounds Pavilion in Salem (a BIG improvement from the little church 10 years ago). This concert was on Friday, October 30, 2009. The video shows the "freakin amazing" intro for the Awake and Alive Tour. Enjoy!!!

I was at this show, i was right infront of Kasica's usual spot, video camera rolling. I was maybe 15 feet from the stage thanks to my VIP pass, it was a great show, my first. I also went to the one in Albany this year and that proved to be a great show also. They need to make oregon a regular stop, preferably a little closer to Douglas County lol

@Morgfarm1 The only Christian entertainment that Douglas County has had (so far) is the band Petra back in 98, 01 and 05 and the only reason you got that was because of some big Petra fan who lives in Roseburg. A small Church in Roseburg had some Christian bands perform back in the mid-90's but that Church is now demolished and is now Albertsons (I am 31 btw so that's why I know this stuff). Anyway, I was also at that Albany event and I must say Skillet just gets better and better!

I went to 5 shows on the Awake and alive tour including driving from Boston to Dayton Ohio for 1 show. Then went to 2 shows one with shinedown tour and the last tour the monsters of Annilation tour with trapt. SKILLET is my favorite band of all time and I will go any chance I can. Had VIP MnG passes 4 times so far.

hey i went to a show on this tour on oct 4 in philly and then i went to the opening show of the second awake and alive tour in scranton on april 15. i have an autographed alien youth t-shirt that has kori johns lori and i think ken steorts and an awake autorgraphed cd yeah ive been following skillet since 97 lol its nice to see other people who have been following the band since before comatose

i was on the other side of the stage. 1st skillet concert. NOT the last. I have a 'rebelution' t-shirt autographed by harris bros, hawk nelson, decypherdown, the letter black, the violinist (who seriously gets into it), and the chellist. Plus Mike Huckabee.
