Mainly a demonstration of the Fulltone OCD overdrive. The keeley isn't on until the end, where I use it as a boost.. The settings are as shown in the beginning. And this is as usual played on my Fender Prosonic Amp.

  • Keeley suggests to put the compressor AFTER your main overdrive. But what if your main overdrive is the overdrive of the amp? How can you put the compressor AFTER the distortion of your amp?

  • @Dedalusalley Hmm... In the FX loop maybe? But I've never heard of anyone who has a compressor after the drive...

  • @soren650 dude what size strings do you use????

  • I like your style. Who would you say influenced you? I wouldn't mind learning those kind of licks.

  • @DMBFan985 Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, John Scofield etc.

  • @camsprocket sorry I'll play smoke on the water next time

  • Nice playing.... But can you demo the product, rather than every guitar lick you've learned over span over your guitar playing life.

  • I can't believe how much shit people talk because they don't like a demo. Its so much harder to type your shit talking than it is to just switch over to a different video

  • Wicked!

  • @soren650 or you can just demo a pedal the right way. your guitar playing is super original too bro...

  • Not a very informative demo simply because we have no idea when the pedal is on vs off. We don't even know what the base tone is like before the pedal is engaged and so on. Also as suggested by some, play a little slower and let some notes ring so that we can hear the tone and sustain. It's not always how fast your fingers can move.

  • @soren650 after the distortion is usually where people put the smart gate but i usually put the compressor as the first pedal

  • @1971Goldtop no I don't, but i'm sure you do.. i can't seem to get past "my sharona" how's that for "Insane"

  • @Dedalusalley I suggest trying it after your main overdrive pedal, but before a lead boost of course. And it's only a suggestion. Try it! You might like it! What it can do for you is keep your clean and dirty (main OD pedal) volume levels pretty even. The down side for some is the noise level, for others it's not a problem at all. Compressors typically go first in your signal chain. Try it, you might like it! I've seen folks put the Compressor last and still manage to sleep at night. ;-)

  • @Dedalusalley im pretty sure you need to put your compressor before drive/modulation/time based effects so that it compresses the tone BEFORE it is altered by other effects.
