"Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf" by The Killers from the album Sawdust

Shakin' like the Devil when she let me go
Got a new place, and how it's so much better.
Falling over myself, the televisions on,
I turn it off and smile.
Oh, Jennifer, you know I always try.
Before you say goodbye

Leave the bourbon on the shelf.
And I'll drink it by myself.
And I love you endlessly,
darlin' don't you see I'm not satisfied
until I hold you tight.
Give me one more chance tonight
and I swear I'll make it right.
But you ain't got time for this
and that wreckin' bell is ringin'
and I'm not satisfied
until I hold you

Jennifer, tell me where I stand
and who's that other boy holdin' your hand?
Oh, Jennifer, you know I've always tried.
Before you say goodbye

Leave the bourbon on the shelf.
And I'll drink it by myself.
And I never liked your hair or those people that you lie with
but I'm not satisfied
until I hold you tight
and I love you endlessly,
darling don't you see I can't be satisfied
until I hold you tight.

Leave the bourbon on the shelf.
And I'll drink it by myself.
And I love you endlessly,
darling don't you see
I'm not satisfied

  • @MyPolymerHeart Yes apparantly its a trilogy. I dont know if its true, but I can see where it comes from.

Apparantly 'Leave the Bourbon on the shelf' is the first bit, he is ahving relatiionship problems.

Then in 'Midnight Show' he kills her

And in 'Jenny was a friend of mine' he deny's it.

They were released int he wrong order thoiugh, so its hard to tell.

  • @baysikecho Trololololol

  • @MyPolymerHeart yes, this song, jenny was a friend of mine and the midnight show are a series of songs called the murder trilogy, theyre all about the same person and they fall the sequence of events where he kills her, hides her and is then questioned by the police.

  • @JenniferGoesRawrr and also probably cause your name is the same of the song xD

  • @JenniferGoesRawrr no just say is missing you and it hurts you have another guy

  • @MyPolymerHeart Yep. It's part of the Murder Triology. This is the first song, then "Midnight Show," and then "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine."
