The external tank burns up in the atmosphere over the Indian Ocean. Its only the SRB's which are used again. They dont burn up. They are retrieved and used again.

The solid rocket boosters (SRB's) fall off into the ocean and are retrieved but the external tank burns up falling back to earth.

I had to show this video to my mum who not only believes that men haven't been to the moon, but that they've not even been into space at all lol. She thinks it's all a big hoax lol. This video convinced her that yeah, ok.....maybe they HAVE been into space at least lol. She still thinks the moon landings were a hoax though lol. Bless her!

@ChevyManDan77 Hahaha. What could this video possibly say about us Americans as a whole? You and I have done absolutely nothing to contribute to our country's space travel, yet simply because a select few exceptionally talented and dedicated individuals worked their entire lives to achieve what we could only sit and watch on youtube; that miraculously makes you and me smart? Do you have any idea how ironic your comment is? I assume you believe all Muslims are terrorists and Germany hates Jews?

@ChevyManDan77 Don't forget that Wernher von Braun(German!),he's the person who was responsible for all the american 'space breakthrough'

2:57 looks EXACTLY like the slave II from star wars.
-
HAHA fast forward to 2:53 and it looks like Slave1

@ChevyManDan77 it was a german that invented rockets and got most of their problems sorted out.. Nasa was founded by a german.....tool

@charleTHEbanana At 2:22, you'd be going too fast to jump off. you'd be ripped to shreds.

This would be the ultimate thrill ride for me, but knowing my luck if i were to actually go up in that thing i'd probably lose my lunch. Despite that part i would still go up, i mean how many times do you get to say " my ass was once launched into space!"?
