Fifty years after bringing the Sam Maguire Cup across the border for the first time, the famous Down team were presented to the crowd at Clones on Ulster Finals day. Captain Kevin Mussen led the way, while the 1985 Ulster SFC winning Monaghan team were also honoured. They had players such as Nudie Hughes and Eamonn McEneaney, while their management team included future GAA President Sean McCague and current Director General Paraic Duffy who says the '85 team was 'a little bit unlucky not to win an All Ireland'.
