... and no bonus at the end of the quarter. Seriously I run a great store and we blew away last year and plan in this down economy. I have regulars all the time come to my store and spend 50 bucks for cables they could get down the street at wally world for 20 bucks cause they know I take care of them. I could turn any Shack store into an extremely profitable one, it's just you gotta know how to run things right. Unfortunately RS doesn't pay well enough, so there's tons of shitty staff.
-
Also I wanted to add on here, cause there's tons of misinformation by "radio shack employees" commenting here. Yes you can do a refund past 30 days in the system, it absolutely allows it, so don't let anyone tell you different. Also service plans can and should be refunded within 30 days. Again, you have a shitty experience like this one, its cause that store has a shitty manager who has to lie and cheat to try and hit their numbers. But they lose customers and end up with shit numbers..
-
have any good experiences there. Just know that these stores and their managers are constantly getting hounded by their DMs for not hitting their numbers and why they are having ticket losses month after month, and they blame it on the economy and a bunch of other BS. Sorry you had a bad experience, but I promise you it's not like that at all Radioshacks, just the failing ones. BTW it's assurant, not siemens that handles our stuff, goes to prove they don't know shit at that store.

well if you bought your router anywhere else with a service plan they would just give you a G router cause that's what you bought to begin with. Same thing, send in for the giftcard, yeah it sucks you have to wait for it, but then you can use that 39.99+the tax towards a new N router which could be the same price. So this can be a big advantage since technology advances so quickly. However like I stated first, if you shop at one radioshack and they are "by the book" then you probably wont ...
-
.. then you can use that giftcard to purchase the same thing, or if you happened to hate those headphones, you can use that giftcard towards a different set of your choice. Also if you buy something in Jan. then have a problem in december, well technology changes so fast that the price you paid for whatever merch is completely cut in half or even worse. So you buy a G router today for 39.99 then in 11 months fails you might be able to get a N router for the same price by then....
-
... even if you had it 364 days I would just hand you a new one off the shelf, no worries. The way our warranties work can be a benefit though so here's a couple of examples. Customer buys headphones, has them 3 months and they break. You get a warranty anywhere else you are forced to get the same headphones. With ours, yeah it wont be instant, but you get a giftcard for the exact amount of the item + the taxes, basically you're refunded for everthing outside of the service plan ....

I work at the shack as well, and honestly it depends on the store manager more then anything. First of all, if you were to buy anything from my store and had a problem anytime within 90 days I would just give you a new one off the shelf and either scrap the old one, or RMAC (RTV) the product for credit back to the store. Second, if you have a warranty and the item that failed is able to be sent back for credit, again I would just hand you an new one and send the bad one back 4 credit.

I work for RadioShack, and believe me if it was up to the sales associate...we would just give you another one...it does us no good to have a pissed off customer because we are paid to a small extent by commission....that is a corp. rule and it stupid just like most of their rules...if you think you hate it....try working there for a couple months or in my case a year.....its a terrible place to work and shop...i hope they don't see this...but it's true
I bought an xbox 360 from radio shack & I've waited 6 months for my console to come back & they promised 2-3 weeks!

Before I even made this video, I complained to the Better Business Bureau. Just last month, over a year later, RadioShack sent me a giftcard for 20 U$D. I spent it on batteries -- It felt good to cost RadioShack money.
If you complain to the BBB, maybe RadioShack will repair or replace your defective XBox it has in some warehouse sometime in 2010. The URL is:
BBB Org
I had to leave out the dot because YouTube does not allow URLs. Filing a complaint is free. It is worth a try.

I can tell by your manners that you work at RadioShack.
I had the receipt and the extended warrantee. The manager said that I had to ship it to the manufacturer and wait for a few weeks. Given that my ISP bills me whether I use the service or not and the ISP-bill would exceed the cost of warrantee/modem, I was not happy. RadioShack will never get my money again.
I know that my videos such. They all deserve 1 Star. Still, 1 is finitely better than 0. You have 0 videos so therefore, 0 stars.

I work at Radioshack, and we don't control as sales associates how this system works. Unless it's an IN-STORE warranty, yeah, you gotta ship it out. The way our systems work, we physically CAN'T switch it out in the store anyway. It just doesn't work like that.
Point being, there's some dumb shits that work for RS who will tell you incorrectly. That's life, and that's retail. You'll get retarded associates at ANY work place. It's just the luck of the draw. Some at RS ARE smart. *raises hand*

If one cannot offer instorereplacement when products are instock and only resuort to shipping the product back to the manufacturer only if the product is in stock, ¿what is the point in having a warrantee at all? This is how you should do it:
I bought an iMac. After 2 years, the powersupply blew. I took it into the nearest AppleCertified retailer which is not where I bought it. Because I have AppleCare, the technician replaced the powersupply right then & there free. I type this on that iMac.
