  • BTW, NICE video! :D

  • Thanks for watching.

  • "Dai Jodan No Kamae"

I was once told that when you do raise your sword like that, you must never do a chicken wing(referring to the arms). I've been told that the arms should be in a relaxed state and should be forced to stretch open or it's like looking through the arms(enough to see your front and sides) and not exactly opening it too wide. Also the body posture must be well bladed. I think it is to have more leverage and to reduce the delay of cutting as well as reduce muscle fatigue/tense.

  • So how should I correct this lower my elbows to about the level of my eyebrows?

I understand, that is a very powerful kamae.

    Thanks for your support.

  • I was taught with Kasumi the blade is under the eyes not by the eyebrows

  • Thnx for the vid. I needed help with my shinobi swordsmanship. hope ur style of Ninjutsu blossoms into a great one too someday.

  • I think yours is correct.. I can't judge much because viewing from camera and viewing it personally is actually different, there is really a difference. I think you must bring your elbow slightly more forward until you feel comfortable and relaxed, and do not forget it must not block your view. And finally do a shomenuchi, and find out which cut is better, faster and more comfortable(the three factors are important to be considered), my advice, or yours which is shown in the video. *bow*

  • No me neither.

  • Thanks friend.

  • great technique.
