@jimmiefl Look at the top range digital stereo sound recorders of Olympus. Mine is the top model of the year 2002 with a separate stereo microphone. Full metal housing and still working perfect as you heard!

@alna1287 Hi there! I use a special HQ stereo recording device. For the engine sound outside the car the mic is about 5 feet from the exhaust. for interior sound recording the device is on the passenger seat!
