Thanks again, Aaron for your generosity! I will definately be pouring through the book and do a proper review once I've had a chance to read it fully!

  • I don't mean to alarm you, but, there was a small Goblin or Halfling-like creature behind your right shoulder at about 1:10 or 1:15. Very fierce it seemed and menacing. Please sweep your abode with armed patrols as soon as you receive this message. I fear it is not safe there. I could their vicious howls. Dear gods man, take care !

I've not heard of 'Legend'. You mention 'Angel' below, which has been highly recommended to me from Holland. I'd like to take a look. Cheers on Aaron for sending that

  • @23penguins32 Yes, that was one of the Brownies! Strangely though, when they visit, they tends to mess up my house rather than clean it. Perhaps I am not leaving proper offerings.

I intend to do a review of the Angel RPG as it is a rather good game for what it does. Perhaps I can clear up the things you may have heard about it.

    Cheers!

  • I know a few people who snickered about this game, but I think this is MWP's best game by far. It's neither too "indie" like Smallville nor too "just another rpg" like firefly. It's a beautifully executed example of how effective you can be when you really tailor a game to a specific genre. And it got me into the show, which rocks. :0)

  • @DeepEndOfTheDicePool Indeed. My initial impression is the same. Not too far "out there" but different enough not to be "meh". That is my struggle with the "Serenity" RPG (which I intend to review in the future). It was clearly MWP's first attempt at a new game design and it shows. MWP has, however, rectified this by improving with each release.

Yes, I want to watch the show now. The same thing that happened to me with "Angel". The game was so good that I wanted to see the source material.

  • @Webhead123 I would HIGHLY recommend you also get Winderness of Mirrors by John Wick (you can download it off drivethrurpg for all of 5 dollars). It is very very very similar conceptually, but with an even more minimalist approach. I might use either system to run a leverage type game. And I think anyone who wants to review either game should look at the other before making a any decisions.

  • @DeepEndOfTheDicePool Interesting. I'll have to take a look. Thanks!

  • @Webhead123 Wait. What? Azirk's been taken down? :o

  • Just to clarify for everybody, I didn't give Jordan my one and only copy of Leverage, I gave him one with a slight printing error which bugged me for months until I talked to the author about getting me a replacement,

  • @MercKilsek Indeed. I discovered this just after posting my video also. It's unfortunate but I know he has his reasons.

I shall try to put the word out about the Leverage RPG in my own review now that Azirk's has been taken down. Cheers!

  • Went to check out the review you suggested but looks like he closed his account. :(
