They were closed but they already reopened a while ago. There is no organ museum in Amsterdam as of yet, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Vraagje: Als je naar dit museum gaat, spelen alle orgels dan ook - of alleen op speciale dagen?

Als je naar het museum gaat op een dag waarop ze geopend zijn (iedere zondagmiddag) dan spelen alle orgels ja.
Helaas is het museum voorlopig gesloten, en kunnen de orgels niet meer spelen. Dit is vanwege zware rookschade die is veroorzaakt door een brand in het naburige gebouw. Het museum heeft ook een website op draaiorgelmuseum punt org.

i notice,(i know very little about organs) that european organs have in general a distinctive sound that makes them easily discernable from uk organs,"wellmostly "that is .guess i must sound very uneducated in the music world but i really do enjoy the music as much as the more informed,you have a good site and some good links.thank you

Actually I have to agree with you on that. That's not because of where they were made (most of the UK organs came from mainland Europe), but of how they are maintained. If they are not serviced often enough, they'll get out of tune, which (and I hope I won't get in trouble for saying this) seems to be the case for an alarmingly large number of UK/US organs.
