you keep this in a safe for home defense?? Do you think the criminal will wait for you to get your pistol? I keep mine in my top dresser drawer loaded and ready to grab in a moments notice!!! Good luck!

@CelticRoad i will. this is one of the reasons why i go to work everyday. :) yeah, this model 60 and the Rossi 462 almost looks identical. the rossi is just a bit stubbier and heavier... great job on the review! thanks.

im soooo debating between this and the ruger sp101 snubby for ccw. still trying to convince myself into buying a revolver and i heard this has the better trigger out of the box.

@FUdirtbag Good for you! Ruger is a great company, I have the lcp which I use for ccw. I love the sp101, it's a great revolver, but the Smith is an all around better revolver. No one comes even close to the craftsmanship of a smith. The finish is better, the trigger is a dream, and if your thinking about carrying it, the smith will save you about 4 oz, which isn't a huge amount but when comparing a 26oz gun to a 21 oz gun you'll notice it.

i am thinking of getting the pro series model of this gun and using it for ccw. how has yours been working so far, never owned or shot a revolver other then my dads colt python.

@dp665 Well, My first recommendation for a ccw gun is that you can shoot the gun well, and that you can find a spot where it carries effectively. I carry a ruger lcp for ccw, and I strap this bad boy on when I'm hiking. I think Smith and Wesson is a great company, and in my opinion I think you can't get a better revolver, but like I said that's just my opinion.
