This is an example of the type of 'Task Analysis' you will need to do for your own project. This video was from a different course so of course the products in question are different (they were studying child safety devices in homes with elderly people) but it is an excellent example of how to conduct your interviews and observation, as well as an excellent example of simple yet thorough documentation. Notice how the students have the user take them through the process of using each product step by step and they ask questions to supplement the observation, and how they have the one user show them several products of a similar category.
For your project, you will have to conduct 3 or 4 interviews (per group) similar to this one. You may document with either videos or LOTS of photos.
