@edwardcdavis Edward, I have the same issues you described. Now, shoulder surgery was recommended (tear in rotator cuff) and is scheduled for the end of the month. The sports injury had been done 7 months ago and because I continued with the sports it made the tear worse. It will not get better. I suggest an MRI. Take care!
That depends on your age, my doctor suggested because I am an active person and he said it will tear more if I didn't take care of it. I had my surgery on Dec 15 and now I am doing my daily exercises at home.
I've just been dx with a partial focal tear of the supraspinatus. After steriod injection, my right shoulder has little pain, it has always had full ROM, but there is a constant poping at the AC joint as I flex pass 90 degrees. I am a paid athelete and the popping and slight pain is throwing me off. I only have real pain when I try to weight train by pulling anything forward or over my head. I'm trying to finish the season without surgery but I have to decide by May. What would you suggest?
Well explained: thanx.

Is surgery really needed? Will a partial tear continue to increase if I stay active?
