Jeff Mangum played a show in New Zealand in 2001, but other than that 1 show, you're right, 1998 was the last time NMH played, but maybe someday he'll return

I know I was standing there praying no one would talk or make noise, but really, the vid makes the background noise sound a LOT louder than it was. It was a very respectful, awed atmosphere in the room while they were playing. It's just the recording.

like the other people mentioned. The sound seems worse than it was at the show, obviously. I don't remember it being loud other than jeff and julian. I was also right next to them so maybe I was just... entranced.
