You should have done a bit of research before posting. What you say it should be, is exactly the way it is!

The US patent office makes patents very specific. Apple's camera power management is 20 pages long, with very specific diagrams and descriptions on how it works down to every tiny detail of hardware and software code. Same for every other patent. Did you think the title of the patent was the actual thing?

nokia and ericsson owns about 70% of all mobile phone patents.. apple did not give a shit.. they didnt pay to use any of them... they don`t give a shit about global law..

Thanks, bpisan... It's true people seem to confuse the title of the patent with the patent itself. And I'm not saying Apple is perfect either. No one is, but you have to take each case on its own merits.

People sue each other all the time. It's up to the court to decide, but in the case of the iPhone, Apple spent many years and millions of dollars to make all the components of the iPhone work, and they presented very detailed patents. They knew multi-touch was the future.

Now, to copy the IDEA of a touch screen is OK, but to rip off exactly how a task or procedure FUNCTIONS is not. HTC needs to come up with their own way, like others have done, and invest their own R&D.
