Showing balance of the two different configuration with out any appendages in the water. Where the sails CoE is located and which side ama is placed plays a huge roll in achieving balance and foward drive with the least amount of input.

I'm not saying you can't over come imbalances with dagger boards and rudders

Just that finding the most forward drive possible with the least amount of input should help achieve a well balanced efficient boat. Knowing that it will take very little to correct for best balance/ forward drive.
