Remembrance music - To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die.

Military song. Patriotic music. Australian anthem for heroes
Army. Navy. Airforce. Marching war heroes. The cost of war. War doesn't just cost lives in direct military action. The families of loved ones suffer as well. The stress and worry of having a loved one away fighting would be unimaginable.

The song is timeless and honours the memory of those who have died in the service and defence of Australia in war.

The marching theme of the song is especially powerful and supports the spirit of ANZAC Day.

The song does not glorify war or endorse conflict of any kind. The song simply highlights the sacrifice of many Australians who died in the service and defence of our country in war.

Over 100,000 Australians have lost their lives in the service and defence of our country. Along with their mates, they're marching once again, in the towns and cities, across our great land.

Schools and students frequently ask to use this song in projects and commemorative ceremonies.

Radio stations throughout Australia have broadcast the song leading up to ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day. The song is also requested to be played at funerals (for veterans).

The song has been used for commemorative purposes across Australia by schools, churches, choirs, bands, councils, retirement homes and RSL branches. If your school, church, council, retirement home, RSL branch, choir, or band would like to use the song, please contact the author. Music sheets can be emailed to you.

Any public broadcast or performance of the song requires the permission of the author - please contact Peter Barnes by email here or phone 0418 82 7756.

You can contact the author of the song if you would like to use the song for commemorative purposes for ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day. Music sheets are also available.

  • I hope this song is listened to every minute next week. We owe so much to these young men and women. If it wasnt for them we wouldnt be australia today so lets never forget that. It's a beautiful inspiring song.

  • Thank you for your comment and kind words about the song. What is truely amazing about the song is that someone is either listening to the song or watching a video of it every minute of every day, 365 days of the week. Amazing, because it has no record or publishing company supporting it. Obviously people like the song and what it represents.

  • hey guys, i've been listening to this song all day today.

  • There needs to be a decent movie made about the diggers. Not anything like Baz Lurhman's 'Australia'.

    Something real.

Something like it would have been.

    In an old fashioned style.

I feel close to those people in those photos.

They were normal people like us. Such normal faces, they could be our neighbours.

    God bless the diggers.

  • this song made me. keep up the hard work bro.

  • Good on ya, diggers!

  • chocbizkit2001, what is your problem, apologize NOW or hope you never meet me.

  • Australia, My country, our country, always has been, always will be! we have fought and died to keep her safe, to preserve her soil from foreign invasion.

To all you selfish wankers out there, grow up, dont post insults to our armed forces as they are the only thing stopping you from losing your freedom. They have done more with their lives then you will ever be able to do. And more importantly, some have paid the ultimate price for you...Show some respect! You dont deserve to live among us...

  • if they idnt fight u ass hole we wouldnt be hear so shut the hell up and grow some balls

  • get some respect ya dog. i will take your life if i ever see you.

  • Whats your fucking problems chocbizkit2001?
