Bill Shumard Goes Over the Edge

Special Olympics Southern California CEO/President Bill Shumard was one of 85 thrill-seekers to rappel 158-feet down the Hyatt Regency Long Beach on October 29, 2011 during Special Olympics Southern California's Over the Edge fundraiser.

Because of their efforts, more than $150,000 was raised for Special Olympics athletes. The funds will help provide more than 11,000 people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to compete in life-changing sports. Participation in Special Olympics empowers our athletes to become physically fit, productive, and respected members of the community.
