Honor Flight Network sponsors trips for World War II veterans and other veterans can visit the US memorials in Washington DC dedicated to them. On June 23, while we were waiting at Baltimore's airport, a Southwest plane from Columbus carried aboard nearly four dozen WWII vets (including one female vet) and as they were deplaning, they were greeted by current US servicemen and servicewomen, and the cheers of airline passengers in the terminal. Let's hear it for our vets!
