Well - you got me there, but at least the progression through the years was generally from bad to good.. Genesis (Collins) ended up hating their old repertoire - something Floyd never did.

Yeah - it definitely wasn't one of my favorites, but they never wrote anything close to the abortion that was 'Whodunnit'....

Nah - even at their most commercial, Yes were still amazing. Can't really say the same about the 'Phil Collins Band' (Genesis).

Lots of people could say the same about Trevor Rabin and his influence on Yes. Give another listen to 90125 and Big Generator. Sold lots of records, too, but Yes fans consider that their "pop" period.
IF Genesis and Yes "sold out" and "went pop" its still the best damn pop I ever heard.
