  • @almagore1 Thanks for your comment.

  • @prajna8 No one could say it better!

  • @almagore1 What Maharshi means is that God is all there is and God is one. as part of all that is, we are one with God. The Apostle Paul said that "when Christ who is our Life appears. There is only one life. I experience this as a result of Maharshi's teachings and doing what He said to do. There is nothing that Maharshi says that is not also in the Bible. Some say that people take what Jesus said too literally. The fact is we don't take what He said literally enough!

  • @almagore1 "I couldn't finish in that little space. The Name spelled YHVH is replaced by the word LORD in the English translation of the Hebrew scriptures. When Jesus was asked what was the most important commandment, He didn't say Thou shall love the LORD thy God. He started His answer with, Hear O Israel so that the people listening would know He was quoting Deut. 6:4 which clearly says in the Hebrew, Thou shall love YHVH they God and begins with YHVH exad (one).

  • @penguiiin When in the Psalm, God says, "Be still and know that I am God" it does not mean that the person being still is God. The most Holy Name of God in the Hebrew language is spelled, Yod, he, vav, he. This name is only translated in the account of Moses and the burning bush. The Hebrew text reads "tell them aleph he vav, he sent you." English translation reads, "Tell them I AM" sent you. At the extreme center, in complete silence, all is ONE. The name YHVH is replaced by LORD

  • @almagore1

know that 'I' am God? or that God is God?

  • @gsbextreme When Maharshi says remain quiet he means to have the mind completely still, without any thought as a still pond that has no air blow over it is still with no ripples. Maharshi's meditation, to whom did that thought occur? whenever a thought is perceived in the mind, then when the wordless answer comes, "To me", one asks oneself, who am I? is designed to eventually to bring the mind to complete silence and peace. He equates this with Psalm 46:10,"Be still and know that I Am God."

  • @rodrigojoseunb Oops. I didn't realize those links were already posted by the owner of this video. But thanks anyway for responding to my comment. I would not have seen the links had you not sent the comment.

  • @rodrigojoseunb Thanks much for the links.

  • @tonytheponyism The first two sentences of that quote were cut off inadvertently by me. Here's the full quote:

The more you talk and think about it,

The further astray you wander from the truth.

    Stop talking and thinking,

And there is nothing you will not be able to know.

To return to the root is to find the meaning,

But to pursue appearances is to miss the source.

At the moment of inner enlightenment

There is a going beyond appearance and emptiness.
