@Duncan038 No Duncan, this is 64A St.Margarets, Edinburgh on 2 May 1965. 60034 Lord Faringdon is seen in the company of A3 no.60041 Salmon Trout and a Class 40 diesel D283. Sorry it took so long to respond, you can find more detail of the images shown on this video by logging on to phantasrail.co.uk. Richard(Sid)Freeman

That's how a steam loco should look, covered in soot and muck! I hate the "polished" look they have now...but then my favourite engine is a 9F so what the hell do I know? :D

Brilliant!

@bluebus270 You are evidently uneducated on the history of steam locomotion.

Many great pictures but the one at 1:47 is the best for me, the buses, the cars, the nostalgia. Essence of the early 1960s

I think that it is a really good series of photos and well-compiled. I particularly liked the photos from the Isle of Wight and well remember going on the trains there in steam days

People who go on about steam in the 1960's make me laugh. Compared to Germany, France and Japan we were fast becoming an embarrassment. It's like lamenting the phasing out of the ration book.
