HE WAS SICK!!!!!! He's still great despite of his condition. The fans understand, that's why he got the highest votes that day. They supported him. In fact, he was the first one called on stage for the results because the truth was he was on top of the list SAFE!!!! Despite of the judges negative comments, AMERICA saved the real idol.

I cant agree with Simon-I know he HAS great voice-soft but very pleasant:) He sings softly and clearly-i cant see anything wrong about his perfomances...he is great.and so talented.

So ridiculous...Jason's style of music doesn't suit well to the old moldy ALW and Neil Diamond music. Given that, he still sounded mellow and wonderful to me.

Simon is sooo right. Besides the fact that he doesn't have any voice he's not even trying, i mean dude! c'mon! wake up! you're on American Idol! Top FIVE!!! you can't do those safe/boring songs anymore, i agree he's totally hot but it's so unfair, face it already! he shouldn't be there and he's not even trying, he relies too much on his look

OK, he didn't connect with it as well as some previous songs, but he didn't know any these Neil Diamond songs. He did the best he could with what he was given. I know he won't win, and I don't think he would want to win anyway. I'm just glad he's gotten this far and now I have my own "album" of his itune downloads! (Can't wait for him to release his own album with his OWN song choices on it)!

I personally thought it was GREAT, inspiring and brought a tear to my eye...GOOD JOB JASON..for the first time I actually voted and called 3 times for Jason, prior to this show i was never that impressed.
