On September 16, 2011, we invited advertising industry legend Patrick Fong as the latest speaker in our Speakers Series.

Patrick Fong specializes in making ethnic advertising economically viable by developing pioneering cross-cultural advertising concepts. He was born in Hong Kong and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from PolyU's design school, but spent most of his career in the West. While in Canada he pioneered multicultural advertising and watched as his innovations spread to greatly influence the US and rest of the world.

Patrick's advertising breakthroughs are cited in many textbooks, honor lists, industry publications and archives. He has been widely quoted in media worldwide. He was the first Asian judge for the industry leading Cleo awards, and has been a judge or advisor to major advertising awards in other regions. In Asia this has included: China (Long Xi International Ad Awards), Taiwan (Times Advertising Awards), Hong Kong (4R's), etc.

We were very privileged to catch him just before he returned to his global travels.
